• 一Protection of personal information:

  • 1.For the protection of customers in cyber transaction security, the transmission process of eBanking subscription of foreign currency at BOK is encrypted by SSL for assuring the confidentiality and integrity of online information. Please fill in your complete and correct personal information.
  • 2.This website will be disconnected after sitting idle for 20 minutes to protect the rights of the customers and transaction security of the website.
  • 3.The personal information of the customer provided at this website like name, ID card number, date of birth, contact information, and transaction information will be protected by BOK under the secured mode of transactions. BOK further promises to keep this information in strict confidence as obligation under law. BOK shall not refer the personal information of the customers for any other purpose beyond the designated use unless the law or the competent authority at the central level require otherwise, or as required for providing online transactions by BOK.
  • 4.If the customer declines to provide its personal information, BOK may not be able to proceed with necessary review or operation, and cannot provide related or better service. Your understanding is appreciated.

• 二Important notices for placing orders through eBanking:

  • 1.Service hours:
    • (1).BOK provide 24-hours online service to the public for purchase of foreign currency in cash via eBanking, and can select the withdrawal day (within 7 business days from the day after the business day on which the order was placed). After placing the order online and paid for the required amount of fund for exchange, present the ID card or passport of the customer to the designated branch to claim for the withdrawal on the designated withdrawal day (refer to the announcement of the website).
    • (2). Business hours for the branch for withdrawal: Monday through Friday, 09:00 to 15:30(no service on recognized holidays. Your understanding is appreciated).
  • 2.Currency for subscription and the limit:
    • (1).Online service for the subscription of the following foreign currencies in cash is available only to nationals of the Republic of China with valid ID card:
      USD, HKD, AUD, SGD, CAD, JPY, CNY, KRW, EUR, NZD.
    • (2).Check with related branches for the kind of foreign currencies available in cash before placing exchange orders. The number of legal tenders in respective foreign currencies available for withdrawal may vary with branches, and shall be based on the inventory level of respective branches at the time of withdrawal.
    • (3).The limit for the buying of relevant foreign currencies shall be based on the posted limit at the website site.
  • 3.Exchange rate for subscription:
    
    • The exchange rate for each transaction shall be based on the exchange rate effective at the time of placing the exchange order. the exchange rate in the transaction process is for reference only. The exchange rate at the time the customer execute “confirm” shall be the actual exchange rate for the transaction. In case of wide fluctuation in the foreign exchange market, BOK may suspend any FX transactions through eBanking where necessary.
  • 4.Repetition and limit of subscription:
    
    • Settle the payment after each subscription of foreign currency before placing another order for foreign currency transaction. If there are 3 unsettled transactions after placing orders in one month, the right of using eBanking service for subscription of foreign currencies will be suspended for 3 months.
  • 5.Commission for subscription service:
    • (1).Payment in TWD:
      If the amount for subscription of foreign currencies in cash falls within the lower limit required for declaration, it is free of charge. If the amount falls below the lower limit, a commission will be charged at NT$100.
    • (2).Payment in foreign currency (only for customers who have opened TWD and foreign currency account at BOK):
      The subscription amount will be settled by debiting the foreign currency account of BOK at the original currency only. The commission will be charged on the basis of the spread between the posted exchange rate for cash and posted spot rate for foreign exchange purchase (for additional information, refer to the next page for ordering) and the minimum amount is NT$100. This amount will be paid only by the TWD account at BOK.
      Example: the posted rate for foreign exchange selling is: 30.43, and the posted spot rate for foreign exchange selling: 30.28.
      • A. Subscription for foreign currency in cash for USD500, and the commission will be USD500*0.15 = NTD75. But the minimum charge is NTD100.
      • B. Subscription for foreign currency in cash for USD1,000, and the commission will be USD 1,000*0.15 = NTD 150.
    • If the amount for subscription of foreign currencies in cash falls within the lower limit required for declaration, it is free of charge. If the amount falls below the lower limit, a commission will be charged at NT$100.
  • 6.Payment method
    • (1).Fund transfer via BOK eBanking: only for customers who have applied for eBanking service of BOK. Select “Foreign currency service” –“Foreign currency purchase/transfer” – “Cash purchase payment ”at the time required for payment, and the security clearance will be the transaction password. The limit for each transaction by regular and digital deposit account will be NT$2,000,000/transaction and NT$3,000,000/day, including fund transfer by other automated servics and tax payment at NT$3,000,000 per day. For individual limit of placing order, refer to the next page, “upper limit for particular transaction.”
    • (2).Fund transfer via mobile banking of BOK: only for customers who have applied for mobile banking service of BOK. Select “FCY Service” – “payment for purchase of foreign currency in cash” at the time required for payment, and the security clearance will be the transaction password. The limit of payment for regular account and digital account will be the same as “Fund transfer via BOK eBanking.”
    • (3).Fund transfer at ATM: Select “payment” at the time required for payment. The limit of payment varied with respective card issuing banks.
    • (4).Fund transfer via online ATM: Select “payment” at the time required for payment. The limit of payment varied with respective card issuing banks.
  • 7.Payment due date
    • (1).For withdrawal on the next business day: complete payment by 15:30 of the day of placing order.
    • (2).For withdrawal beyond the next business day: complete payment by 24:00 of the day of order placing. Customers shall settle the payment by the deadline or BOK will cancel the transaction.
  • 8.Process for pick-up cash in foreign currency:
    
    • After the settlement of payment and completion of related procedure with confirmation by BOKand present the ID card or passport to pick up the amount of cash in foreign currency in the transaction, the customer shall visit the designated branch in person.
  • 9.Withdrawal beyond the expiration date:
    • (1).If the customer cannot claim for withdrawal beyond the expiration date after the settlement of payment, visit the designated branch for withdrawal during regular business hours, and follow the instruction of the original subscription order to make withdrawal. BOK will not provide the service of modifying the content of the subscription order.
    • (2).Once payment has been completed for this service, the place of collection can no longer be changed.
  • 10.Modification/cancellation of order:
    • (1).No service of order modification or cancellation is available for this online transaction. BOK will cancel this transaction order when no payment is received by the deadline. This count of unsettled payment will be added to the number of unsettled payments of the next month.
    • (2).The customer cannot cancel the order after payment, and may bring the personal ID card or passport to the designated branch for withdrawal to proceed with the sell back of foreign currency before withdrawal. BOK will buy back the foreign currency in cash at the posted rate of foreign exchange purchase at the time of processing for the buy back. Related exchange loss and commission charge incurred thereof shall be borne by the customer.
  • 11.When the customer use this website for transaction, it shall be deemed the agreement of the customer on the content of the notices and agreement on this service in whole. BOK has the right to modify or alter the terms and conditions and the content of the website at any time without notifying individual customers. Customers are advised to pay close attention to the content after modification or alteration at the time of transaction. If the customer continues the transaction, it shall be deemed the understanding of the customer and the agreement on acceptance and observation of the content of modification and alteration in the agreement.
  • 12.All transactions conducted by the customer through this network and the terms and conditions contained therein shall be governed by the law of the Republic of China. In the event of dispute deriving from the transactions at this network or the terms and conditions contained in the agreement, the parties hereto agree to submit the jurisdiction of the first instance to Taiwan Kaohsiung District Court for settlement.
